The Innsbruck Card is a card that offers visitors to the city many discounts and presents the city and the surrounding area in a very special way. This card is the key to a variety of attractions and experiences that will make your stay unforgettable.
Free admission to top attractions
The Innsbruck Card gives holidaymakers free admission to over 22 museums and attractions in the region. These include highlights such as Ambras Castle, the Hofburg, the Hofkirche and the Alpine Zoo.
Our tip: a visit to the Golden Roof Museum. The interactive exhibition provides an excellent explanation of the history of the Golden Roof. A visit to the city tower is also possible with the discount card. After climbing the 133 steps, you have a great view over Innsbruck and the mountains.
Our highlight: a visit to the Bergisel ski jump. With the Innsbruck Card, you also have free entry here and can immerse yourself in the world of ski jumpers.
Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to take the bus to the Swarovski Crystal Worlds. The bus trip and the visit are among the other offers of the Innsbruck Card.
Experience Innsbruck on a city tour
With the Innsbruck Card it is possible to travel on the Sightseer hop-on hop-off bus. This not only takes you to many sights. You also get interesting information about the city and its history during the journey.
It is also possible to take part in a guided tour of the city. Tours are offered almost every day in different languages and there is no need to register. The meeting point is at the Tourist Information Innsbruck at Burggraben 3.
If you prefer to explore the city on your own, you can hire a city bike (for 3 hours) free of charge from “Die Börse” bike hire. It is located in the courtyard at Leopoldstraße 4.
Including ascents and descents
The impressive mountain world around Innsbruck can be explored with included mountain and valley rides on selected cable cars. With the Innsbruck Card, all seven cable cars in and around Innsbruck can be used once free of charge. A great opportunity to experience breathtaking views and the fresh mountain air.
Free use of public transport
The Innsbruck Card allows you to use public transport in the region free of charge. A great way to leave your car behind and get around the region in an environmentally friendly way.
The following lines can be used:

In addition to free admission, card users benefit from numerous discounts on various activities and attractions in the region. These include, for example, the golf training center, a visit to the Tyrolean Evenings and a visit to Casino Innsbruck. The Tyrolean Evening is certainly one of the most popular events in the city. With the Innsbruck Card you get a 25% discount when booking (enter the discount code “INNSBRUCK-CARD” online).
What cards are available?
The Innsbruck Card is available for 24, 48 or 72 hours, so you can flexibly adapt the card to your vacation plans.
The price of the cards varies according to the duration of use. Children between the ages of 6 and 15 only pay half the regular price.
Is the Innsbruck Card worth it?
When using a Tourist Card, it is always important for us that our planning on site is right. If we have specific places we want to see, little time on site and above all a desire to visit museums – then the discount card is very worthwhile. In Innsbruck, we not only used the Hop On Hop Off bus, but also visited several museums, the city tower and Ambras Castle. It was a tight program, but it’s definitely worth using the Innsbruck Card to save some money. The money you save can then be put to good use in one of the city’s great restaurants where you can indulge in culinary delights.
