Courtyard by Marriott Pilsen

Pilsen offers its guests a wide variety of diverse accommodation options. Particularly popular, of course, are hotels that are centrally located or near the Pilsner Urquell Brewery, such as the Courtyard by Marriott Pilsen.

I have stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Pilsen several times now and have always felt very much at home. The hotel is located not far from the train station, and it is only a few steps to the large central square with its cathedral—the ideal starting point for exploring the city.

Walking through the large revolving door, you find yourself in a bright and welcoming lobby. The reception team greets every guest warmly and is always happy to answer any questions.

Renovated Rooms

The hotel features 195 comfortable rooms spread across five floors. As of 2025, a portion of the rooms has already been fully renovated, with the remaining rooms following step by step.

The Courtyard by Marriott offers various room categories that differ in size (25−34 m2), amenities, and views. All rooms feature a large bathroom, a desk, a laptop-sized safe, a TV, and free Wi-Fi.

What I particularly like is that you aren’t strictly dependent on the air conditioning; the windows can be opened. Some rooms are also situated so quietly that you can hardly hear the surrounding streets.

A modern hotel room at the Pilsen Marriott features a large bed with white striped linens and a brown leather headboard, set against a warm wood-paneled wall with integrated lighting. In the corner, a grey armchair with a colorful pillow sits next to a tall, three-globe floor lamp near a large window with sheer curtains.

Those needing a bit more space can book a suite, which offers separate living and sleeping areas. I felt exceptionally comfortable in my spotless room. The new bed was cozy, it was wonderfully quiet, and I slept excellently. Following the renovation, the room design is modern, bright, and friendly.

A fantastic service—which also perfectly supports the hotel’s commitment to sustainability—is the water carafe provided in each room. On every floor near the elevator, there is a station where you can get filtered water from a dispenser free of charge. I made frequent use of this.

The bathrooms have also been redesigned as part of the hotel renovation. The walk-in showers with plenty of hot water were a great way to start my morning.reat service.

Hotel Restaurant

If you don’t feel like heading out to one of the many nearby restaurants in the evening, you can stop by the Pils’n’Grill Bar right in the hotel. Naturally, they serve Czech beer, and the small menu of international dishes is sure to have something for every taste. The football broadcasts shown there are also a hit with many guests.

You should definitely visit the restaurant for breakfast. The buffet is excellent and offers a wide variety of different foods. Whether you prefer a hearty meal with eggs and bacon or something healthy with fruit and vegetables—the selection is truly top-notch.

The Pilsen Marriott Restaurant features a modern dining area with wooden tables, cushioned bench seating, and contemporary lighting.

A special highlight is the “Lunch Box to go”: when leaving the breakfast room, you are welcome to take a bottle of water, a piece of fruit, and a pack of cookies for the day.
