I have already been able to experience the amenities of the Courtyard by Marriott Pilsen several times and I have always felt very comfortable. The hotel is not far from the train station and you only need a few steps to reach the large central square with the cathedral. The ideal starting point for exploring the city.
When you step through the large revolving door, you find yourself in a bright and friendly hotel lobby. The team at reception welcomes every guest in a very friendly manner and is always happy to answer questions.
The rooms
The hotel has just under 200 rooms spread over 5 floors. There are different room categories, which vary in size (25-34 m2), furnishings and view. All rooms have a large bathroom, a desk, laptop-sized safe, TV and free Wi-Fi.
I particularly like the fact that you don’t necessarily have to rely on the air conditioning in the room. The windows can be opened. Some of the rooms are also so conveniently located that you can hardly hear the surrounding streets.
If you need a little more space, you can also book a suite. Then you have a separate living and sleeping area.
I felt very comfortable in my very clean room. The bed was comfortable, it was wonderfully quiet and I had a great night’s sleep. The design of the rooms is a bit “old-fashioned” and could do with a more modern touch. I was told at the hotel that the renovation is already planned and perhaps I will be able to stay in a more modern looking room on my next visit.
I think the water carafes provided in the room are a great service. There is a free filtered water dispenser near the elevator on every floor.
Restaurant in the hotel
If you don’t feel like going to one of the many restaurants in the area in the evening, you can stop off at the Pils’n’Grill Bar in the hotel. Of course there is Czech beer and a small menu with international dishes to suit your taste. The soccer broadcasts are also popular with many guests.
You should definitely visit the restaurant at the Courtyard by Marriott Pilsen for breakfast. The breakfast buffet is very good and offers a wide variety of different dishes. Whether hearty with eggs and bacon or healthy with fruit and vegetables – the choice is really great.
The hotel offers its guests a great additional service. When you leave breakfast, you have the option of taking a bottle of water, an apple and a packet of cookies with you. For me, this is the ideal snack for the return journey!
What else does the hotel offer?
The Courtyard by Marriott Pilsen has function rooms for celebrations or meetings.
There is a large, bright and modern fitness studio on the top floor of the hotel. Here you can work out on good fitness equipment with a view over the city.
Would I stay there again?
Definitely!
