The harry’s home Hotel in Munich-Moosach is a modern accommodation that is characterized by its flexibility and good connections. The hotel combines the comfort of a classic hotel with the independence of an apartment.
The Concept of the harry’s home Hotel Group
The harry’s home hotel group is a family-run business from Innsbruck. The hotel group has established itself in the hotel market with an innovative concept. Under the motto “Create Your Stay,” guests are offered a high degree of individuality and flexibility.
Harry’s home appeals to a wide target audience. Whether business travelers, families, couples, or long-term guests, everyone can customize their individual stay. This ranges from the choice of room size and amenities (e.g., with or without a kitchen) to the frequency of room cleaning and the decision on whether to include breakfast.
With the “harry’s home City” and “harry’s home Country” lines, locations are offered in both urban environments with good infrastructure and in settings close to nature with recreational opportunities. Currently, there are hotels in Austria, Switzerland, and Germany. In all properties, the “We-all-are-family philosophy” is a central focus. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and very much like a family. You should simply feel right at home!
Harry’s home is the first Austrian hotel group to be comprehensively recognized for its commitment to environmental and climate protection with the Austrian Ecolabel and the EU Ecolabel.
Perfect location in Munich-Moosach
The harry’s home in Munich is located in the Moosach district. While it’s not central, it has excellent transport connections to the city center. The S1 S-Bahn line stops right outside the door, offering not only a fast connection to the airport (approx. 25 minutes) but also a direct link towards the main train station.
The U3 subway line also stops just a few steps from the hotel. This line gets you to the city center in 15 minutes. For those who prefer to travel above ground, you can take the tram. The final stop for tram line 20 is directly in front of the hotel, which then travels to the city center via the main train station.
With such excellent transport connections, you can confidently leave your car in the hotel’s underground garage!
“Create Your Stay”
– that’s the motto of the harry’s home hotels. What this means became very clear to us during a short tour of the hotel in Munich. Here, you can customize your stay according to your own preferences.
1. Room Selection
The hotel’s rooms are divided into 4 categories. Guests have the choice between spacious design rooms or generous apartments with fully equipped kitchens, which are perfect for self-caterers and long-term guests.
The standard room is approximately 22 m² and is equipped with single or double beds. We had an excellent night’s sleep! Some rooms feature a walk-in closet with enough space to store suitcases. For those who prefer to stay on a higher floor, there is also the option to book very quiet standard rooms there. It is said that in good weather, you can even see the Alps from some of the rooms.
At 28 m², the studio is slightly larger than the standard room. Here, guests can enjoy a kitchenette. This allows them to cook their own meals, an option that is particularly popular with guests on extended stays. Those who need a bit more space can choose the Studio Superior. This option is 32 m² and, of course, is just as beautifully equipped as the standard version.
The various apartments (50 m² or 75 m²) are especially well-suited for families. In addition to the comfortable beds, there is also the option of sleeping on pull-out sofa beds, and there is sufficient space for a baby cot. Combined with the ability to cook, this is truly ideal for a longer stay in Munich.
For guests with special needs, two accessible rooms are also available.
Some rooms – and I think there could easily be more – offer their guests something very special. Here, you will find a mini-gym with stylish dumbbells and an adjustable pulley machine.
2. Breakfast
Of course, those who would like to have breakfast at the hotel can book it as an add-on. A rich breakfast buffet is served daily in the large breakfast room. The selection consists predominantly of regional products.
Alternatively, guests with a kitchenette in their room have the option to prepare their own breakfast. Or, for those who only need a coffee, it’s possible to book a Nespresso starter package. A coffee machine, including a few coffee capsules, will then be available in the room.
3. Service
Decide for yourself how often your room is cleaned. It isn’t always necessary to clean a room daily; sometimes, just a new towel is sufficient. At harry’s home in Munich, you can simply make your preference known.
Does your laundry urgently need to be washed? That’s not a problem either. A service point is available to all guests. Here, you’ll find washing machines and dryers that are available around the clock. If you get a craving while waiting, you’ll also find snack vending machines there. The communal kitchen, which can be used by all guests, is also located here.
A children’s playroom is also offered at the hotel. For me, this was a real highlight because the room is large, bright, friendly, and almost a bit like a kindergarten. There are craft supplies, books, and games; they’ve even thought of a diaper-changing station. And for parents, there is the option to use a small kitchen. When we stayed at the hotel, we saw for ourselves that it is genuinely used for playing. It looked just like a well-loved playroom!
Need to bring your dog along? That’s also possible at harry’s home. With prior notification and for a flat fee, four-legged friends are welcome to feel right at home. They even get their own food bowl from the hotel!
In the entrance area, you’ll find the hotel’s “living room.” At least, that’s what the friendly voice in the elevator says when the doors open. Modern and very comfortable lounge furniture practically invited us to relax and let the evening wind down. With a huge portion of ice cream from the neighboring supermarket and a spoon from the bar, that was no problem at all. It was truly just like being at home!
Our recurring question when traveling – How is the Wi-Fi? Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available to all guests. During our stay, it worked great and was even ideal for working.
