Quality Hotel Ambassador Hamburg

We got some very confused (but friendly!) looks when we, a group of nine ladies and their bags, wanted to check in at the desk of the Quality Hotel Ambassador Hamburg at 8 in the morning.

We knew that it was too early to get our rooms, but we were able to drop our bags off at the hotel. And that is so much more convenient for a tour through the city. That we were also able to enjoy a really lovely breakfast at the hotel was even better. That was a good start to the weekend after our very early train ride to Hamburg.

The hotel has 124 rooms of different categories. They offer single and double rooms, family rooms and studios with kitchenettes. Every room comes with a TV, a minibar and free Wi-Fi. Our group had booked 4 rooms. My room was on the 6th floor. It was nice and clean and the bed was just right for me, I slept fantastically.

I only stayed one night and so I, unfortunately, had no time to check out the spa of the hotel. But I had a quick look at the pool after which I had serious regrets that I didn’t go for a brief swim in the morning. The guests get to enjoy a sauna and a solarium. Kids have access to a nicely equipped playroom.

The daytime and nighttime staff was very friendly. A special thanks goes out to the breakfast team. On the morning of my birthday on Sunday, they surprised me with a bottle of bubbly and we got to enjoy a lovely champagne breakfast.

The Quality Hotel Ambassador Hamburg is very well connected to the city. A metro and train station is only five minutes away. From there it is only one stop to the Central Station and the city centre, the Alster and the bay. It was the perfect starting point for exploring the city.
