There is a lot to discover during a stay in Hanover. The museums in Hanover are not only worth a visit in bad weather.
We visited some of the museums in the city and were impressed by the variety on offer. Our museums presented here are the best-known and most important museums in Hanover.
Niedersächsisches Landesmuseum Hannover (Lower Saxony State Museum Hanover)
The museum unites three worlds under one roof: NatureWorlds, PeopleWorlds and ArtWorlds.
In the NatureWorlds, visitors are given an overall view of the environment by means of natural history objects. For example, more than 200 aquatic animal species are presented in the WaterWorlds and in the LandWorlds you can discover reptiles and dinosaurs in the Skull Cabinet. The “Evolution” theme provides a link to the “Human Worlds”.
The MenschenWelten show the evolution of mankind and focus on the cultural development of Lower Saxony.
The ArtWorlds offer a tour through European art history. Here, visitors can discover and admire paintings and sculptures from the Middle Ages to the 20th century.
