The small town of Bad Neualbenreuth is located in the Oberpfalz (Upper Palatinate) directly on the Czech border. A holiday in Bad Neualbenreuth is a time among forests and meadows with a recreational character.
Since 1998, a large health centre has developed in the state-recognised health resort. In addition to a bathing temple, visitors to the Sibyllenbad also find a spa centre, a therapy path and the spa park. In 2019, Neualbenreuth was awarded the title “Heilbad” (spa) and can now call itself Bad Neualbenreuth.
The small town is idyllically nestled in the rolling hills of the Oberpfälzer Wald (Upper Palatinate Forest) and is ideal for long hikes and excursions to the Czech Republic.
Holiday in Bad Neualbenreuth
During my visit to the Upper Palatinate, I took part in a hike near Bad Neualbenreuth. Both tours are easy to manage with only moderate gradients and on good paths, even for inexperienced hikers.
Bad Neualbenreuth has only recently been recognised as a spa and now offers further interesting offers in addition to the existing programme. I experienced the forest health training with trainer Beate Ott and got to know a completely new forest experience.
If you turn right at the church in Bad Neualbenreuth and drive up the street "Am Kirchberg", you will arrive at the Pension ausZEIT. I was allowed to spend 2 nights in a holiday flat in Bad Neualbenreuth and felt very comfortable.
