When you go to Italy, you think of pizza and pasta. It’s no different for us! Of course we had to look around for pizza, and on our first evening we came across a small shop with a great selection of pizzas that we couldn’t pass by.
Huge pizzas with interesting toppings were on the counter. We walked purposefully into the shop and were greeted in a friendly manner. With English and hands and feet, we decided on 2 different varieties and ordered. Our pizza was cut with a pair of scissors, and there was always the checking look of the shop assistant. We had to determine the size, as here pizza is paid by weight and not per piece.
About 2 minutes in the oven and our selection was already cut into bite-sized small pieces, ideal for walking on.
Really, the €9 for this quantity was more than justified: wonderfully loose base, crispy and extremely tasty!
For us a street food pizza in Verona with 5 stars!
