As this trip to Verona had been planned for a long time, we started looking for accommodation almost three quarters of a year beforehand. There were not too many criteria that our dream flat in Verona had to fulfil, but for us it was important to have free Wi-Fi access, as we were dependent on an internet connection during the trip.
We also like to live alone in a flat and with an early riser, a separate bedroom is always very nice, but not a must.
We are flexible about the location of our accommodation, but depend on relatively good connections to the public transport system without being lazy on foot. We like to walk a lot, just not with a heavy backpack!
Our mission on the internet was, in short, “Verona dream flat” searched.
We found what we were looking for on Airbnb. We discovered a “New lovely flat in Verona” and decided immediately.
In Via Monte Nero in Verona, Lorenzo rents out his flat when he’s not in town and he’s often on the road because of his work!
We had a very nice email contact with Lorenzo, who was in London on the day we arrived. But instead, his father was in town! He picked us up at the main station in Verona and took us on a short tour of the city by car. He told us little historical and current stories about Verona.
Once we arrived at the flat, we had a short joint inspection and explanations of the most important details in the flat.
In the really huge kitchen there was another huge surprise for us. Besides coffee, tea and pastries, there was breakfast for the next day and mineral water in the fridge. There was even ice cream in the freezer for us. Lorenzo’s father seemed to notice our enthusiasm and decided to go shopping. Within half an hour we had fresh salad and wine for dinner. Thank you again!!!!
We didn’t miss anything in the flat! Super clean, bigger than the flat at home, quiet location and the bus is not far away. The highlights of Verona are not far away either and we did everything on foot.
The flat has earned 5 stars from us and we love coming back here!
