Natural landscapes

North America has a very diverse natural landscape. The arctic tundras and glaciers of Greenland dominate the north, while tropical rainforests and volcanoes can be found in the south. The Rocky Mountains, which stretch from Canada to the USA, are a paradise for hikers and nature lovers. Equally impressive is the Grand Canyon, a natural wonder that attracts millions of visitors every year. In the Caribbean, white sandy beaches and turquoise waters beckon, while the Great Plains in the heart of the continent fascinate with their vastness and tranquillity.

Cultural diversity

North America is a melting pot of cultures. The indigenous peoples who have lived on this continent for thousands of years have a rich history and traditions that can still be felt today. At the same time, influences from Europe, Africa and Asia shape the culture of North America.

Mexico impresses with its history, which goes back to the time of the Mayas and Aztecs. Here, travelers can explore ancient ruins such as Chichén Itzá or Teotihuacán while experiencing the vibrant culture in cities such as Mexico City.

Adventure and activities

North America is a paradise for adventurers. Whether skiing, surfing or diving, the possibilities are almost endless. National parks such as Yellowstone or Banff National Park offer unforgettable nature experiences.

For city travelers, there are vibrant metropolises such as New York, Los Angeles, Toronto or Mexico City, which entice visitors with cultural highlights, impressive architecture and exciting nightlife.

Climate and travel time

The climate in North America is as diverse as the continent itself. While arctic temperatures prevail in the northern regions, the southern parts have a tropical climate. The best time to travel therefore depends heavily on the desired region and the planned activities.
