For a day trip to Braga, we boarded the train in Porto in beautiful weather. The trip takes about 1 hour and gave us the opportunity to pick out the most important information and sights in Braga.
The food in Porto is wonderfully varied and you can find restaurants in every price range. It is always worthwhile to go to the side streets and take a look at the small restaurants.
Welcome to Coimbra, the capital of Portugal … not the current capital, but the capital of the years 1139 to 1256. 48 hours in Coimbra were barely enough for us to discover the lively student city properly.
