Loft Hotel Bratislava: Our Review of the 4-Star Hotel in the City Center

The 4 star Loft Hotel is located in the centre of Bratislava, within walking distance of the historic old town.

Central location and convenient arrival

For our stay in Bratislava, we chose the fairly new Loft Hotel. It is very conveniently located near the old town and is only about 900 meters away from the main train station, where the airport bus stops. Drivers can park their cars in the hotel’s underground garage for a fee.

The lobby of the Loft Hotel Bratislava features a cozy seating area with leather armchairs, a decorated Christmas tree, and a sign for the Wine & Coffee Lounge.

With 121 rooms, the hotel is not exactly small, but you still don’t feel lost here. The hotel includes the restaurant “Fabrika The Beer Pub,” which offers a breakfast buffet, lunch, and dinner.

First impression and check-in

The hotel entrance is not located directly on the main street. So don’t be put off by the old buildings on the street and take the 3 steps into the side street. Then you are standing in front of a very modern hotel complex. The staff in the really very beautiful lobby welcomed us in a friendly manner. Slovak and English are spoken here.

High security and our comfort double room

Taking the elevator, which can only be used with the room card, we went up to the second floor to room 202. The hallway to get to the rooms can also only be entered using the room card. We had opted for a comfort double room.

A modern guest room at the Loft Hotel Bratislava features a large bed with white linens and dark accent pillows, set against a warm, backlit wood-paneled wall. The room includes a small dining area and a desk, with floor-to-ceiling curtains framing a window in the background.

The room was a good size and was very nicely decorated and very clean. Included in the price was a minibar that was restocked daily. In addition, there was a kettle for free tea and coffee making in the room. The double bed was large and we slept well.

Wi-Fi, safe, and a spacious bathroom

Always very important for us: the Wi-Fi connection! Free Wi-Fi is offered throughout the building. The reception in our room was flawless. Also very nice was the large laptop safe, which easily accommodated not only the laptop but also our camera. The bathroom was very clean, and the bathtub was the widest tub I have ever seen in a standard hotel room.

Breakfast and the restaurant “Fabrika The Beer Pub”

The interior of the bar at the Loft Hotel Bratislava features a rustic-industrial design with vaulted brick ceilings, dark tiled floors, and comfortable tan armchairs arranged around small wooden tables.

We did not try the breakfast buffet. Coming in at 12, – € per person we gave it a miss. If you usually only have coffee and bread for breakfast, you can find that much cheaper in the Old Town. If you like long and extensive breakfast, you should consider the hotel offer, the buffet looked good. On the Saturday only we had a small breakfast in the hotel bar. For around 5 € we got coffee or tea, 2 croissants, butter, 2x jam and a small pastry piece.

The restaurant was always very well attended and the food seemed to be well received by the guests. Since we had always eaten out I cannot give an opinion on the cost effectiveness or quality of the restaurant.

Conference rooms and our conclusion

The hotel also has a few conference rooms that are well-equipped for conferences or meetings.

I felt very comfortable in the hotel and would certainly choose this hotel again. The value for money was good.
