Vacation in the Black Forest

In the southwest of Germany lies the low mountain range Black Forest. A vacation in the Black Forest is a welcome time out in a fantastically beautiful region.

The area of the Black Forest is not small, the north-south extension is about 150 kilometers and the west-east extension is maximum about 50 kilometers. The low mountain range is divided into the Northern Black Forest, the Middle Black Forest, the Upper Black Forest and the Southern Black Forest. Each region is worth a trip in itself and offers the vacationer a varied break from everyday life.

The northern Black Forest is characterized by its high moors and spruce-rich mountain slopes. The vacationer will find here a popular hiking region with a well-signposted network of trails. Arrival

By plane
The nearest airports are EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport, Stuttgart Airport and Frankfurt Airport.

By train
ICE trains stop in Baden-Baden, Basel, Freiburg, Karlsruhe and Offenburg. In addition, numerous regional train lines and also IC connections run through the region.

By car
The Black Forest is very well connected to the long-distance road network in Germany via the A5 and A 81 freeways.
The federal road B 500, the Schwarzwaldhochstraße, leads through the region. From this road you have the most beautiful view over the low mountain range in some places.
