The province of Groningen is located in the north of the Netherlands. The capital of this province is also called Groningen, three small uninhabited Wadden islands (Rottumeroog, Rottumerplaat and Zuiderduintjes) belong to the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
The Dutch region is bordered to the north by the Wadden Sea and the Ems estuary. Germany lies to the east of the region. To the south and west of the province adjoin other Dutch provinces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
