A mystical and magical place that attracts many visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Over 4000 years ago in the Neolithic period, a ring-shaped earthen wall was built on the English island, in the center of which worked stones were placed to form a formation. This site was in use at least until the Bronze Age, and stories and legends still surround the structure today. Major international airports are located here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By train<\/strong><br>The nearest train station is in Salisbury. Trains from London, Plymouth, Exeter, Bristol and Southampton stop here.<br>Tour buses run from the station to Stonehenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By car<\/strong><br>Stonehenge is located near the junction of the A303 and A360. The route is well signposted. There is a large parking lot at the visitor center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By ship<\/strong><br>Even though Stonehenge is inland, it is a popular destination for cruisers. They are bussed from Southampton to the visitor center.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-atomic-blocks-ab-accordion ab-block-accordion\"><details><summary class=\"ab-accordion-title\">Audio guide<\/summary><div class=\"ab-accordion-text\">\n<p>There is a free audio guide that you can download to your cell phone before your visit.<br>In 12 different languages, it gives you a guided tour of the stone circle, the Stonehenge landscape and the exhibition.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-atomic-blocks-ab-accordion ab-block-accordion\"><details><summary class=\"ab-accordion-title\">Toilets<\/summary><div class=\"ab-accordion-text\">\n<p>There are toilets in the visitor center.
