The easternmost of the East Frisian islands in the North Sea is called Wangerooge. Whether it’s a relaxing short trip or a long, restful island holiday, you can simply feel at home here.

Wangerooge is car-free and that is a good thing. A leisurely walk along the beach or a stroll through the town is a wonderful way to relax. The island is a certified North Sea spa. The stimulating climate offers the ideal conditions for a cure or wellness treatments. Thalasso is a major theme here and has sent many a stressed city dweller back to the mainland refreshed.

The island lies in the middle of the Wadden Sea. So it is not surprising that the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site plays a central role on the island. During mudflat walks and a visit to the National Park House, you can learn everything about this unique natural landscape here.
