Almost 400 kilometres of varied coastline await holidaymakers on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. It stretches along the entire eastern border of the country, from Romania to Turkey.

In addition to the large cities of Burgas and Varna, there are a number of historic and, above all, smaller towns. It is worthwhile to go on a voyage of discovery!

Especially in the summer season, from May to October, the coastal area is a popular destination. Here you can enjoy holidays on beautiful sandy beaches, breathtaking cliffs and in natural forest areas.

The white sandy beaches in the coastal area attract foreign and local tourists to the “Bulgarian Riviera” every year. The Black Sea is considered one of the clearest and cleanest waters in the world, the salt content of the water is very low. The beaches slope very gently into the sea. In many places, even 150 metres from the shore, the water is only at shoulder height.

The northern coastal sections are characterised by their rocky headlands with their breathtaking cliffs. These can reach heights of 70 metres. In between are beautiful bays with sandy beaches.

The sky is almost cloudless, the sun is burning and there is a huge dust on the large parking lot when we arrive at Cape Kaliakra. We are at the most famous cape in Bulgaria on the northern Black Sea coast, one of the places that Bulgarians and tourists love to visit again and again.

Cape Kaliakra →
