The neighbouring islands Lobos and Fuerteventura are visible from here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s only a 15-minute shuttle ride from the airport to Puerto Calero and the Hotel Costa Calero. The hotel has 324 rooms with either garden, pool or ocean view. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/09\/bereich-vor-unserem-zimmer.jpg\" alt=\"Hotel Costa Calero \u2013 Lanzarote\" title=\"bereich-vor-unserem-zimmer.jpg\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Our first impression when we saw it from the bus was \u201cdear me, it\u2019s a tower block!\u201d. But to never judge a book by its cover rang true once more since the hotel turned out to be a top class accommodation, classy, modern and cosy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/09\/grosszuegige-lobby.jpg\" alt=\"Hotel Costa Calero \u2013 Lanzarote\" title=\"grosszuegige-lobby.jpg\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A roomy and modern lobby with a computer corner, 2 restaurants, 3 bars and free Wi-Fi in the entire hotel were what we noticed first about the hotel. We had booked a double room with garden view and were pleasantly surprised to find a patio with garden access to be part of the room. Spending the summer nights on the private patio turns a holiday into something truly special!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/09\/pool-1.jpg\" alt=\"Hotel Costa Calero \u2013 Lanzarote\" title=\"pool-1.jpg\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The pool area of the hotel is also very spacious. There are two big pools, a kids pool and another smaller pool in the spa area. We always found enough deck chairs and parasols even though the hotel has no beach access as an \u201coverflow\u201d for guests when the pools get busy. The pool bar spoilt us with delicious drinks. We liked the variety of services in the hotel. They were always of good quality and the staff was very friendly. The hotel is not suitable for a beach holiday. There is no beach. But it is ideal as a starting point for excursions to the surrounding areas. The Timanfaya National Park is only 5 km from the hotel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/09\/liegewiese-am-pool.jpg\" alt=\"Hotel Costa Calero \u2013 Lanzarote\" title=\"liegewiese-am-pool.jpg\"\/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Hotel Costa Calero is close to the Puerto Calero marina, west of Puerto del Carmen.
