I was able to find something interesting, informative or beautiful at every single spot that we visited. But some of our trips were just that little bit more enjoyable than others.  Many impressions I gathered I didn\u2019t even share here on these pages. There were so many that I selected the ones I did write about. So let me introduce to you: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our Barcelona top 5<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Sagrada Familia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/spain\/barcelona\/sagrada-familia\/\">Sagrada Familia<\/a> is one of the most impressive sights I got to experience in Barcelona and was a guaranteed pick for our Barcelona top five. The huge church is imposing, not only from the outside. I was overwhelmed by the interior. None of the churches I visited before was ever that bright and flooded with light. Do not miss out on a visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"645\" src=\"https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/innenraum6.jpg\" alt=\"Sagrada Familia\" class=\"wp-image-13175\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/innenraum6.jpg 800w, https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/innenraum6-300x242.jpg 300w, https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/innenraum6-768x619.jpg 768w, https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/innenraum6-610x492.jpg 610w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Hospital de Sant Pau<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p> The <a href=\"https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/spain\/barcelona\/hospital-de-sant-pau\/\">Hospital de Sant Pau<\/a> is one of the quieter places that are not yet overrun by tourists. It\u2019s a shame to miss these wonderful premises. This architectural gem is the top discovery for me in Barcelona and a definite part of the top five! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" src=\"https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/bettenhaus.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/bettenhaus.jpg 800w, https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/bettenhaus-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/bettenhaus-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/bettenhaus-610x406.jpg 610w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Reial Monestir De Santa Maria De Pedralbes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\nThe monastery <a href=\"https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/spain\/barcelona\/reial-monestir-de-santa-maria-de-pedralbes\/\">Reial Monestir De Santa Maria De Pedralbes<\/a> is right in the middle of Barcelona. Like the Hospital de Sant Pau this, too, is a spot that not many tourists find their way to. This makes time spent in the beautiful courtyard wonderfully peaceful and quiet.\nThis spot slows a busy city trip right down.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" src=\"https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/blick-von-oben-in-den-klostergarten.jpg\" alt=\"Reial Monestir De Santa Maria De Pedralbes\" class=\"wp-image-13286\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/blick-von-oben-in-den-klostergarten.jpg 800w, https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/blick-von-oben-in-den-klostergarten-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/blick-von-oben-in-den-klostergarten-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/blick-von-oben-in-den-klostergarten-610x406.jpg 610w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Bull Fighting Arena \u201cLa Monumental\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Number four of our top five holiday memories from Barcelona: The <a href=\"https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/spain\/barcelona\/bullfighting-arena-la-monumental\/\">bullfighting arena \u201cLa Monumental\u201d<\/a> is part of the history of Catalonia. Thankfully, the times of actual bullfighting in this arena are over. But its architecture makes the arena a very interesting stop and a visit is well worthwhile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" src=\"https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/eingang-zum-kampfplatz.jpg\" alt=\"Bullfighting arena La Monumental\" class=\"wp-image-13156\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/eingang-zum-kampfplatz.jpg 800w, https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/eingang-zum-kampfplatz-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/eingang-zum-kampfplatz-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/eingang-zum-kampfplatz-610x406.jpg 610w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Montserrat<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/spain\/barcelona\/montserrat\/\">monastery Montserrat <\/a>is outside of Barcelona but easy to get to via train.
