The Patton Memorial Plzen is a unique museum that cannot be found anywhere else in the Czech Republic. It is dedicated to the American Army and was opened in 2005 on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Plzen and South Bohemia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
The museum is located on the edge of the historic city centre and belongs more to the category of insider tips in Plzen.
We visited the exhibition and I was really impressed. The texts at the information panels are very interesting and I got information about the end of the Second World War in the region around Plzen that I had never heard of before. For example, I didn’t even know that American soldiers were in this region from May to November 1945.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
