{"id":17844,"date":"2021-03-15T11:18:00","date_gmt":"2021-03-15T09:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/?p=17844"},"modified":"2021-03-08T11:28:17","modified_gmt":"2021-03-08T09:28:17","slug":"agadir-in-winter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/morocco\/agadir\/agadir-in-winter\/","title":{"rendered":"Walk on the beach , Agadir in winter"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A week to soak up the sun in winter &#8211; for us it was a week in Agadir in January, a week to enjoy some warmth in peace, a week to relax without the hustle and bustle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Agadir in winter is very quiet as far as tourists are concerned. Our hotel was hardly booked and also in many other hotels life was rather quiet and contemplative.<br>Of course, this was also noticeable on the beach in Agadir. We could walk here almost undisturbed and enjoy the sun and warmth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/stand-agadir.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/stand-agadir.jpg\" alt=\"lerrer Strand in Agadir\" class=\"wp-image-14366\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Agadir beach in January<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Agadir beach is almost 10 kilometres long and over 200 metres wide at low tide.<br>The southern section of the beach is a restricted military area and may not be entered. We did not know this and were fortunately stopped by a Moroccan at the unmarked &#8220;border&#8221; to the restricted area. He claimed that the police would be on the spot quite quickly if you were there. We didn&#8217;t really want to try that and preferred to turn back. But there are still over 6 kilometres of beach left, for free use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This section is wonderful for walking. The sand was not yet too hot in January and so I enjoyed walking barefoot. Whether in the soft sandy beach or with my feet in the still quite fresh water of the Atlantic, I found it wonderful to feel the sand. There are very few stones on the beach and during our visit there was no rubbish to spoil the pleasure &#8211; simply beautiful!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/muschel-am-strand.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/muschel-am-strand.jpg\" alt=\"Strandspaziergang in Agadir im Januar\" class=\"wp-image-14367\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On the beach itself, you can rent jet skis or get your first surfing experience at a surf school. We watched groups playing football, saw fishermen and of course people just enjoying the sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What you should keep in mind when you are out and about in the beach area are the flying traders and the camel riders. You are often approached by them and we were offered everything from a camel ride and sunglasses to hashish. For us, a resolute &#8220;No, No&#8221; was enough and we were not bothered any further. Others were apparently less resolute and were besieged for longer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/kamel-am-strand-von-agadir.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/kamel-am-strand-von-agadir.jpg\" alt=\"Kamel am Strand in Marokko\" class=\"wp-image-14368\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I really like the fact that a wide promenade runs parallel to the beach. There are many restaurants and some shops here. The prices in the restaurants are a bit higher than in the city centre, but you can really have a drink or a meal here undisturbed and enjoy the view of the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some hotels have reserved small sections of beach with sunbeds and umbrellas. A security guard keeps an eye on the areas and keeps unwanted visitors away. In January, the areas reserved in this way were very small. Everywhere there was enough space on the fine-grained sandy beach for a blanket and your own sunshade. Whether this is also the case in the high season, I don&#8217;t know. But I found it very pleasant to be hardly restricted in my choice of place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/leerer-strand-agadir.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/leerer-strand-agadir.jpg\" alt=\"Strandspaziergang in Agadir im Januar\" class=\"wp-image-14369\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Evening at the beach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The sunset on the beach is particularly beautiful. When the sun sinks into the sea and the sky turns blood red, it is pure romance.
