The best thing to do is to walk along the smaller streets and you will see that this city has a lot to offer. It is not for nothing that the old town of Verona was declared a World Heritage Site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>I was thrilled by Verona. Not only our great accommodation and the unforgettable experience of listening to Aida in the Arena di Verona, but also the streets of the old town captivated me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/tolle-fassaden.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/tolle-fassaden.jpg\" alt=\"Spaziergang in Verona\" class=\"wp-image-4903\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/versteckte-schoenheit.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/versteckte-schoenheit.jpg\" alt=\"in Verona\" class=\"wp-image-4905\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If you look a bit, you will discover beautiful stylistic elements in the city. Splendid house entrances and eye-catching, but not ostentatious fa\u00e7ade elements can be seen almost everywhere. If I were an expert in architectural history, I could certainly write long and wide about it here. But I preferred to enjoy it quietly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Typical of many Italian cities are the churches. Sometimes it seems as if there is a church at every third crossroads. You can visit many of them &#8211; or just enjoy their beauty from the outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/kirchen1.jpg\" alt=\"Spaziergang durch Verona\" class=\"wp-image-4898\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/grosse-kirchen.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/grosse-kirchen.jpg\" alt=\"Kirchen in Verona\" class=\"wp-image-4895\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And the squares\u2026 Some of them are really beautiful piazzas that invite you to linger. Often there are small caf\u00e9s or restaurants where you can sit comfortably and &#8211; if you like it &#8211; drink Italian coffee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/panorama.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/panorama.jpg\" alt=\"Pl\u00e4tze in Verona\" class=\"wp-image-4900\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the evening, people sit here for a long time and enjoy a glass of wine. But you shouldn&#8217;t set off for your accommodation straight away.
