During our tour of the city, we also took a look at the Christmas market at the Rotes Rathaus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>One thing you have to admit about the Christmas market at the Rotes Rathaus, the setting is quite something. As soon as it gets dark over Berlin, the town hall, the TV tower and the Neptune Fountain light up. Fortunately the gondolas are closed, otherwise it could get really cold in December. From the top, you have a good overview of the Christmas market. I have to admit, though, that I think the price is really too high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every year, a skating rink is set up around the Neptune Fountain. It is about 600 square metres in size and attracts young and old skaters onto the ice.<br>All around are the Christmas market stalls. When you visit the market, you notice that there are a lot of tourists here. The stalls on offer are very much geared to this. There are hardly any traditional handicrafts to be found. Nevertheless, hardly any visitor goes home without making a purchase, from chocolate specialities to Christmas decorations, you are sure to find something.<br>From a culinary point of view, the Christmas market at the Red Town Hall offers plenty of variety. From bratwurst in a roll to onion tart or specialities from Hungary, from mulled wine in red and white to grog &#8211; you won&#8217;t go hungry or thirsty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/weihnachtsmarkt-am-roten-rathaus-831x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Weihnachtsmarkt am Roten Rathaus\" class=\"wp-image-11902\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I like strolling through this Christmas market.
