The town is wonderfully central and is therefore an ideal starting point for small and large island adventures. Hotel De Lindeboom is centrally located and easy to reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>About half of the island&#8217;s inhabitants live in Den Burg, which is very popular with visitors to the island. In the small alleys in the centre you will find shops that simply draw you in. Decorations, clothes, specialities, street caf\u00e9s and restaurants &#8211; you just can&#8217;t go past\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hotel De Lindeboom is located in the city centre on a square around which the beautiful old town area flows seamlessly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hotel De Lindeboom<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Where the hotel now stands was once the town hall. In 1894, after the building was demolished, Hotel Texel was built with 8 guest rooms and a caf\u00e9. The neighbouring former courthouse is now used by the restaurant Het Schoutenhuys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/hotel-texel-1024x683.jpeg\" alt=\"Hotel De Lindeboom\" class=\"wp-image-29748\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stay at Hotel De Lindeboom<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After extensive renovation work, guests now have 49 rooms of various sizes and furnishings at their disposal in the three-star hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The welcome at the hotel reception was very friendly. We were also able to book our taxi for the return journey here and they always helped us very obligingly with any questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/lobby-hotel-de-lindenblomm-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"Hotellobby\" class=\"wp-image-29749\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>All rooms in the hotel have extra long beds and air conditioning. Our room was on the first floor with a view of the hotel car park. We slept with the window open and it was very quiet, so we didn&#8217;t notice anything from the car park. The Wi-Fi reception in our room was excellent and is free throughout the hotel.<br>My personal highlight of the room was the large bathroom with shower and bathtub, just lovely to relax in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/hotelzimmer-de-lindenboom-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"Hotelzimmer auf Texel\" class=\"wp-image-29750\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Those looking for B&amp;B accommodation can stay in the hotel&#8217;s Polderhuis. Three rooms are offered here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A brasserie and the Schoutnhuys restaurant complete the hotel&#8217;s offer. In the brasserie, the breakfast buffet is also offered to the guests in the morning. The selection of food and drinks on offer was very varied, so that everyone should find something to their taste. We definitely started the day well satiated every morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/fruehstuecksraum-hotel-de-lindenboom-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"Fr\u00fchst\u00fccksraum Hotel\" class=\"wp-image-29752\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need a snack at lunchtime, you can go to the brasserie. An a la carte menu is offered. We ate at the Shoutenhuys restaurant one evening. Here they offer small specialities, good beer and excellent wines. A pleasurable experience, which I reported on in the article &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/fromplacetoplace.travel\/netherlands\/texel\/restaurants-on-texel\/\">Feasting and Enjoying &#8211; Restaurant Tips for Texel<\/a>&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Approach and parking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you come to Texel by car, drive as far as Den Burg. The town is characterised by numerous one-way streets. It is safest to let the navigation system guide you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a car park directly behind the hotel, which can only be used by hotel guests. The hotel information states that the parking space must be reserved in advance and costs \u20ac7.50 per day. When we were on Texel in the low season, the cars of hotel residents could park there free of charge. However, this also meant that it could happen that all the spaces were occupied and you had to look for another place to park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We took the bus from the ferry port to Den Burg. The only bus stop in town is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you use a bicycle on Texel, you can park it in a large locked bicycle shed.
