Nearby also runs the Saale cycle path and the R1 cycle path &#8211; the hotel is ideal for a stop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/bernburg-hotel-askania-1024x669.jpg\" alt=\"Askania Hotel in Bernburg\" class=\"wp-image-16719\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The hotel looks back on a varied history. Already before the 19th century until the 1960s stood here the hotel to the golden lion. After that, apartments were built in the building, unfortunately, the structural condition of the house deteriorated very much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1992, the H\u00f6finghoff family acquired the house and renovated it extensively. In addition, the extension was built in the back house. The hotel was given a new name, reminiscent of the noble family &#8211; Askania Hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2018, the Rauch family took over the house from the previous owners, who had since retired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Family Rauch renovates and changes their hotel according to their ideas and you can feel that they run the house with heart and commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stay at Hotel Askania<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We arrived in Bernburg on a Friday afternoon and drove directly to the hotel. The hotel has some paid parking &#8211; my tip reserve a parking space in advance, so you can park there. If you can&#8217;t get a hotel parking space anymore, don&#8217;t worry, you&#8217;ll find a place for your car nearby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the very friendly welcome, we went to the room on the 1st floor of the front building. The total of 47 rooms of the hotels are distributed over two houses, which are connected by a closed bridge connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/bernburg-hotelzimmer-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"Hotelzimmer im Hotel in Bernburg\" class=\"wp-image-16720\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Our newly renovated room was really more than generous in size. A large window let a lot of light into the room, which was decorated in friendly colors. We slept excellently in the bed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For us, the WLAN in the hotel is always particularly important. In our room, we were able to work online perfectly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Breakfast is offered in the morning in the front building. A small menu on each table informs about the offer that one finds distributed on several buffets. We were very satisfied with the selection, had a good breakfast and enjoyed the good coffee. My little highlight on the side were the dominoes, gingerbread and stollen &#8211; so you can start an Advent weekend!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/bernburg-fruehstueck-1024x770.jpg\" alt=\"Fr\u00fchst\u00fccksraum im Hotel\" class=\"wp-image-16721\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I also found the small info sheet on each table very nice. In addition to the latest news, you could also find out about the weather or solve a (in our case) Sudoku and get your brain cells going.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dinner at Amadeus Restaurant<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We ate both evenings during our stay in the hotel&#8217;s restaurant. The restaurant offers down-to-earth cuisine with mainly regional products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/bernburg-hotel-haxe-1024x804.jpg\" alt=\"Schweinshaxe\" class=\"wp-image-16722\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Patrick ordered the pork knuckle on a spit on the first evening. It was served with Schlachtekraut and parsley potatoes. It not only looked good &#8211; it also tasted great.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I opted for the black beer goulash with apple-red cabbage and potato dumplings. It&#8217;s a pity that you can&#8217;t transport taste over the internet &#8211; the meat was tender and the light beer flavor just good!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/bernburg-biergualsch-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Biergulasch\" class=\"wp-image-16723\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On the second evening, we both could not resist the spaetzle pan with pork tenderloin strips, fresh mushrooms, peppers and onions. We were both thrilled with this dish as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-1 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/bernburg-bier-hotelbrauerei.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>We were particularly pleased that the Amadeus restaurant is not just a restaurant, but a small brewery. Here you can find home-brewed beer on tap. The Askania &#8220;Helles&#8221; is a homemade beer that contains little bitterness and tastes wonderfully full-bodied and drinkable.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The restaurant offers besides the normal operation also special events such as mystery dinners or parties with DJ and good music and dancing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What you can experience in Bernburg!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We have explored Bernburg on our own and visited not only the Eulenspiegelturm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hotel Askania offers its guests an additional great service. On Saturday at 7 p.m. starts from the hotel a city tour with the Bernburg city guide Carl-Heinz Schmidt. An eventful tour, where you learn a lot about the city, the inhabitants and the stories around the city.
