\"Erholungszeit<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The large Maritim Hotel Bad Wildungen is located directly at the spa gardens of Bad Wildungen. A house with tradition and history. The oldest part of the hotel started operating as early as 1856 and attracted visitors to the spa town. At that time, the hotel was known as the “Badehotel”. The old entrance to the “historic hotel area” is still used today as a “side entrance”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Maritim<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

In 1904, the east wing was added to the existing hotel. A connecting element is a large rotunda. For many years, there was a popular caf\u00e9 there that extended over two floors. It was only later that a false ceiling was added and the rooms were elaborately designed. The round “F\u00fcrst-Karl-Kuppelsaal” with its numerous floor-to-ceiling windows and the large balcony was created on the upper floor. An eye-catcher is the filigree ceiling fresco, which gives the room a magnificent appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"F\u00fcrst-P\u00fcckler-Saal\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Below is the oval “F\u00fcrst von P\u00fcckler Hall”. The old stairs that were used in the caf\u00e9 are still there and end at the newly installed ceiling. The hall is quite colorful and chandeliers hang from the ceiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Maritim<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

In 1992, after the takeover by Maritim Hotels, the latest extension was finally built, which today also houses the spacious entrance area to the hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to live in the hotel?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Maritim Hotel Bad Wildungen is not a small hotel. There are 240 rooms in the three hotel areas in different equipment categories and sizes. A total of 14 suites are also available to hotel guests. Taking a look at the presidential suite, which is larger than my apartment, I would have loved to move in there right away. But I also felt right at home in my room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My room was in the “youngest” part of the building on the third floor and had a balcony facing the spa park. The large bed gave me two quiet and restful nights. There were enough closets and a small sitting area with armchairs. Even with the window open, the room was very quiet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Hotelzimmer<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

In the morning, a great and rich breakfast buffet awaited me at the hotel. Hot and cold dishes, tea and coffee, savory and sweet – I did not miss and could have enjoyed for hours. My plus point goes to the coffee, which tasted exceptionally good, unlike other hotel coffees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can book your stay at the Maritim Hotel Bad Wildungen also with half board. In the evening, a large buffet with various dishes is offered in the restaurant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wellness & Spa at the Maritim Hotel Bad Wildungen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Wellness & Spa area of the hotel is an oasis of well-being that should not be missed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I went to the hotel’s swimming pool after breakfast and enjoyed swimming a few laps there almost alone. Around the 15 meter x 8 meter pool are some deck chairs and in nice weather you can also use a small lawn right by the pool. I found it especially nice that daylight fell into the pool through a large window front, making the room very pleasantly bright.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Schwimmbad<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

A sauna and a steam bath complete the offer. You can reach them directly from the swimming pool. But beware! Who would like to use the sauna, must announce this in time at the reception, so that it is heated up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After swimming, I was drawn to the hotel’s wellness area “maritim spa & beauty care”. Now a pampering massage was on the agenda. The wellness area is the ideal place to relax. A pleasant scent played around the nose, quiet background music let me dream and the massage of the shoulder-neck area was powerful – but not too powerful, relaxing, invigorating, soothing, relaxing and just did good!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, the “maritim spa & beauty care” also offers other wellness treatments from full-body massages to pedicures. The appointments are in great demand and it is best to book your desired treatment when booking your room. The offer can be viewed online in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What other offers are there?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The hotel bar is very cozy and invites to long evenings. The range of drinks is large and to my delight there was even a beer that I had not known before. For the small hunger there are also snacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Something very special is the “Vierbeiner Reha-Zentrum” that offers physiotherapeutic services for pets. For example, seminars are offered that deal with the health of the dog. Those who do not live nearby can stay overnight in the hotel with their four-legged companion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A physiotherapeutic practice for the two-legged hotel residents offers courses in cooperation with the hotel. For example, you can attend aqua gymnastics and special health sports courses. Those who prefer to exercise alone will find a well-equipped fitness room in the hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hotel has meeting and event rooms of different sizes. For example, we were able to take a look at the 720 m\u00b2 F\u00fcrst-von-Metternich-Saal. A large hall that is often used for events and meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you would like to get married in Bad Wildungen, you can do so at the Maritim Hotel. There is a registry office here and the suitable rooms for the subsequent celebration can certainly also be found in the hotel. We were able to peek into one of the function rooms, where everything was already waiting for the wedding party. I liked it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The spa park of Bad Wildungen is located right next to the hotel. Here you can walk beautifully and drink water from the healing springs of the place in the Wandelhalle. If you walk through the former grounds of the State Garden Show 2006 towards the historic old town, you can discover the beautiful half-timbered houses and stroll leisurely through the streets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hotel has an underground garage and a parking lot. In the underground garage there are two charging stations for e-cars. Parking is subject to a fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
