Eating in Plauen, everyone will find something for his taste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the places where we felt comfortable and enjoyed the food are briefly presented here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Neue Kaffeer\u00f6sterei Plauen (New coffee roastery Plauen)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Fancy a good coffee? We were looking for a good coffee and a place where you can sit comfortably and do some work. Rather by chance we walked past the coffee roastery and the ambience immediately excited us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/plauen-essen-kaffee-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"Kaffeer\u00f6sterei in Plauen\" class=\"wp-image-29233\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The visit was worthwhile, the coffee tasted &#8211; so we will be happy to come back!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Address:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Neundorfer Str. 4<br>08523 Plauen<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Opening hours:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Tuesday &#8211; Saturday: 9 &#8211; 18 h<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mondays are roasted, the roastery is closed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dining in Plauen in the restaurant &#8220;Matsch&#8221;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In Plauen Nobelstra\u00dfe 1-5 you can find a piece of the Middle Ages. Here are beautiful houses, a remnant of the old city wall and the restaurant &#8220;Matsch&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/plauen-essen-restaurant-matsch-1024x683.jpeg\" alt=\"Essen in Plauen - Restaurant Matsch\" class=\"wp-image-29234\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1503 the mash is mentioned in documents for the first time. The name is derived from the mash. The mash is created during beer brewing when water and malt are heated. Therefore, it is not surprising that a taproom was located in the beautiful old house since that time. The beer brewed there was stored in the cellars along the city walls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Small fun fact &#8211; Goethe did not live there, as a sign on the house reveals. And that where he has lived, nevertheless, felt everywhere\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/plauen-essen-matsch-goethe-nicht-1024x683.jpeg\" alt=\"kein Goethe im Matsch\" class=\"wp-image-29235\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, the restaurant is the oldest inn in Plauen with a guest room and a quaint beer garden between the city wall and the building. If you want to go here for dinner in Plauen in the evening, you should definitely reserve a table. The restaurant is popular and well attended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/plauen-essen-matsch-biergarten-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"Biergarten Matsch\" class=\"wp-image-29236\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We sat in a small side room (almost like a club room) and felt quite comfortable. Unfortunately, I have not seen the beer cellar, this room is now used for events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We drank the local Sternquell beer. A craft solid well-brewed beer without much surprise effect. It tastes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/plauen-essen-matche-bier-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"Sternquell in Plauen\" class=\"wp-image-29237\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I was attracted by the &#8220;Ossi Steak&#8221;. The pork steak with with seasoned meat and cheese au gratin, served with fries. Visually not the most beautiful dish, taste not uninteresting, but for me much too cheese-heavy. The beer garden with self-service restaurant is a great tip for a break during the city tour. There are beer benches and small groups of tables under trees, there is a small children&#8217;s playground and this is where people meet.
