It is often difficult to make a decision. We introduce you to the Hotel \u00dcberwasserhof and give you two restaurant tips that could not be more different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hotel Restaurant \u00dcberwasserhof<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On our second visit to M\u00fcnster, we stayed in a hotel right in the old town. The 3-star hotel is located, as the name almost suggests, in the \u00dcberwasserstra\u00dfe very close to the cathedral.<br>The location of the hotel is great, you can easily walk there from the train station, but there is also a paid hotel parking lot. The entire city center is very easy to reach on foot, so it&#8217;s ideal for exploring the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/muenster-hotel-ueberwasserhof.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/muenster-hotel-ueberwasserhof.jpg\" alt=\"Hotel \u00dcberwasserhof in M\u00fcnster\" class=\"wp-image-13733\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We were looked after by very nice and friendly staff throughout our stay. From the reception, to the staff during breakfast, a cheerful smile they all had on their lips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/muenster-hotel-unterwasser-zimmer.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/muenster-hotel-unterwasser-zimmer.jpg\" alt=\"Zimmer im Hotel \u00dcberwasserhof\" class=\"wp-image-13734\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Our room on the second floor was bright and friendly. The furniture was very typical for a hotel, I was missing a bit of personal flair, the cozy feeling in the room. Without question I felt comfortable, I slept wonderfully and everything was very neat and clean, but just a bit impersonal furnished. Such a nice picture of M\u00fcnster above the bed would have made the whole thing seem much nicer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/muenster-hotel-fruehstueck.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/muenster-hotel-fruehstueck.jpg\" alt=\"Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck im Hotel \u00dcberwasserhof\" class=\"wp-image-13735\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Sunday morning, time for breakfast. The selection on the breakfast buffet really offered something for every taste. From hot dishes, to cereals, to fresh fruit &#8211; I was missing nothing. The coffee was already on the table and the day could start so well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We liked the hotel very much. It is ideal for a visit to the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Address:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00dcberwasserhofstra\u00dfe 3<br>48143 M\u00fcnster<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kleiner Kiepenkerl<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the middle of the old town of M\u00fcnster, on a small square, is the monument Kiepenkerl. Here you can find two of the most traditional restaurants in the city, the &#8220;Grosser Kiepenkerl&#8221; and the &#8220;Kleiner Kiepenkerl&#8221;. Before our visit to M\u00fcnster, we decided to eat at the &#8220;Kleiner Kiepenkerl&#8221; and took the precaution of reserving a table online. A good decision, the restaurant was booked up to the last place and without a reservation you had no chance to get a table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/muenster-restaurant-kleiner-kiepenkerl.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/muenster-restaurant-kleiner-kiepenkerl.jpg\" alt=\"Restaurant Kleiner Kiepenkerl\" class=\"wp-image-13730\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The ambience is too classic for my taste and when I looked at the guests, rather something for the best agers (we actually belong age-related). But that is certainly also due to the pricing of the restaurant. It was not cheap, but since you could see the map in advance online, we knew that too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One reason for our visit, the Westphalian cuisine. Here they offer some regional dishes that we were eager to try. I ordered the Westphalian Kr\u00fcstchen (pork cutlet with onions and mushrooms on toast, plus a fried egg and side salad). The dish cost just under 14\u20ac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/muenster-kiepenkerl-essen-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/muenster-kiepenkerl-essen-1.jpg\" alt=\"Kleiner Kiepenkerl Essen\" class=\"wp-image-13731\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It tasted good to me, it was sufficient for me from the quantity. But if you are a little hungrier, you should order the fried potatoes for 2 \u20ac extra.<br>Patrick ate a dish with kale and meat from the current daily menu. The pricing was comparable to my dish, it also tasted very good to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/muenster-kiepenkerl-essen-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/muenster-kiepenkerl-essen-2.jpg\" alt=\"Restaurants in M\u00fcnster\" class=\"wp-image-13732\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The price-performance ratio was good, the food was well prepared and tasty, the service was friendly and fast and visually everything fit together really well. Nevertheless, we did not feel 100% comfortable and found that we prefer a little more down-to-earth food and drink. But if you prefer a stylish, somewhat upscale ambience, the &#8220;Kleiner Kiepenkerl&#8221; is the right place!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-1 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/muenster-speisekarte-kleiner-kiepenkerl.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Address:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Spiekerhof 47,<br>48143 M\u00fcnster<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Opening hours:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Monday &#8211; Sunday 11:30 &#8211; 24:00<br>Continuous hot cuisine from 12:00 &#8211; 21:30<br>January to April &amp; November closed on Mondays.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pinkus M\u00fcller Brewery &#8211; Beer Gallery<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When we have the chance to drink a beer directly in a brewery, we take it. At one time, there were about 150 Altbier breweries in M\u00fcnster. Pinkus M\u00fcller is the only one left and still brews a wide variety of beers, from pilsners to wheat beers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/muenster-bier-galerie.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/muenster-bier-galerie.jpg\" alt=\"Bier-Galerie M\u00fcnster - Restaurants M\u00fcnster\" class=\"wp-image-13724\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As a group, you should also reserve a table here. We were lucky and despite Advent hustle and bustle there were still 2 free seats for us.<br>The restaurant is rustic, just so typically furnished in brewery style. For us just cozy, to feel good. We were served quickly and friendly.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/muenster-pinkus-essen.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/muenster-pinkus-essen.jpg\" alt=\"Restaurants M\u00fcnster\" class=\"wp-image-13726\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>My look at the menu was honestly only very brief. I find it exciting to eat something when I do not understand the name. So the first dish at the Westphalian specialties was just right for me: &#8220;M\u00f6ppkes- un Liarberbraut mit Schm\u00f6rappelkes&#8221;. Kindly translated to me as a blood and liver sausage dish. For just under 8 \u20ac a great price for a really tasty meal. The blood and liver sausage were fried and very well seasoned. For me, quantity-wise more than sufficient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-2 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vonortzuort.reisen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/muenster-pinkus-bier.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Patrick opted for the &#8220;Westphalian Pfefferpottast with boiled potatoes and beetroot&#8221;, which was as much as a goulash variant. The price here at just under 16 \u20ac a little more expensive, but the portion for it also much larger. I have of course tasted.
