Zinzow is a district of Boldekow in Western Pomerania. Zinzow Castle is located here, which I visited during the Midsummer Remise.

Zinzow is still found in Lubin’s map of 1618 as Zinsow. This Slavic name means something like Heubach or Wiesenbach and suggests that the settlement history of the village is much older.

The estate once belonged to the von Schwerin family. In 1908, Maximilian Count von Schwerin had a manor house built in the neo-baroque style. As was customary at the time, it was situated somewhat apart from the other buildings on the estate.
