The municipality of Lalendorf is located in the south of the Rostock district and, from a geographical point of view, forms the center of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Here, around Lalendorf, you can find mainly fields, forests and many lakes, such as Warinsee, Radener See and Ziest. In the south of the municipality are parts of the nature park Mecklenburg Switzerland and Lake Kummerow.
In total, the municipality is divided into 26 districts. Each of these districts has its own history, of course, which was shaped primarily by the rural manorial system. So it is not surprising that you can discover many manor houses, manor houses and castles and stroll through parks.
