Bernburg (Saale)
Bernburg is located in Saxony-Anhalt directly on the Saale river, only around 40 kilometers from Magdeburg. A trip to Bernburg offers the opportunity to explore a residential town and the surrounding Salzland district.

Bernburg an der Saale has a special connection to the famous character Till Eulenspiegel, the legendary prankster and jester who plays a central role in numerous stories and folk legends from the Middle Ages. One of his most famous pranks is said to have taken place in Bernburg, which makes the town an interesting place for anyone who wants to follow in the footsteps of Till Eulenspiegel.
Bernburg offers a surprisingly diverse culinary scene, including both regional specialties and international cuisine. It is the weekend of the 3rd Advent and we have heard that this weekend is a very special date in the city of Bernburg. Namely, this weekend Santa Claus arrives in Bernburg and opens the monastery Christmas.

By train
Bernburg has been connected to the railroad network since 1846. The station Bernburg Hauptbahnhof is located about one kilometer east of the city center. From the main station there are hourly regional trains in the direction of Aschersleben and Dessau, and trains to Calbe and Magdeburg run every two hours.
The nearest long-distance train stations are in Köthen and Magdeburg.
By bus
The stopping point for long-distance buses is located at the bus station in front of the train station. The city is regularly served by a long-distance bus tour operator.
By car
Bernburg is located on the A14 highway. In addition, federal highways connect the city with its surroundings.
