In the south of Rhineland-Palatinate lies the low mountain range of the Palatinate Forest. The very densely wooded area is one of the most beautiful holiday regions in the state.
A very popular holiday region on the eastern edge of the Palatinate Forest is the panoramic German Wine Route. The tourist route runs through Germany’s second largest wine-growing region, the Palatinate.
