The destination Netherlands is colloquially called only Holland. In addition to the twelve provinces on the European mainland, the Netherlands also includes the Caribbean islands of Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba.
About half of the country is only a few feet above sea level, a quarter even below sea level. The highest point is the Mount Scenery with 877 meters and is located on the Caribbean island of Saba, which belongs to the Netherlands. The highest point on the mainland is 322.5 meters above sea level.
