Pension ausZEIT – Bad Neualbenreuth in the Upper Palatinate

If you turn right at the church in Bad Neualbenreuth and drive up the street “Am Kirchberg”, you will arrive at the Pension ausZEIT. I was allowed to spend 2 nights in a holiday flat in Bad Neualbenreuth and felt very comfortable.

The owner of ausZEIT Christian Maischl has been running his house with much love and dedication for a good 10 years. He offers 23 holiday flats with different features. For example, you can rent a 3-star maisonette flat (42 m²) for 2 people, or enjoy the somewhat more upscale furnishings in the 4-star flat with 85 m². All accommodations have WLAN.

The garden offers guests an additional opportunity to enjoy the tranquillity of the place. Those who wish can also use the small pool. When I visited, they had just cleaned the pool, so don’t worry otherwise the water looks much more inviting!

When I visited, work was underway on a new building that will house the reception, a larger breakfast room and a function room. The work is proceeding slowly and without interfering with ongoing operations. I did not experience any noise disturbance. On the contrary, in the ausZEIT it is quiet – very quiet!

Holiday flat in Bad Neualbenreuth

The houses of ausZEIT stand almost at the end of a dead-end street. Each house has its own name and so it was not difficult to find my accommodation in Haus Christian. Awaiting me was a holiday flat of about 25 m² for one person.

I particularly liked the fully equipped kitchenette. If you want, you can prepare your own meals. For breakfast, there is the option of using the bread roll service (for a fee) or being pampered in the breakfast room (can be booked separately). I really enjoyed the extensive breakfast with excellent coffee there.

The non-smoking flat had a balcony that offered me a beautiful view of the area in the morning. The house where my small flat was located was right next to a field and so I could enjoy the unobstructed view.

Yes, and in the evening I was able to relax wonderfully in a large armchair from the hikes in the region before falling into a deep sleep. My sleep was really not disturbed by any noise. So unusual for me as a city dweller, but I heard no car, no plane. No streetlight shone through the window – it was dark. Towards morning, you could hear the first birds singing and when I looked out of the window, the last wisps of clouds were moving across the fields. That is pure holiday idyll.
