City trip Berlin
Berlin is not only the capital of the Federal Republic of Germany, but also an independent federal state. Around 3.4 million people live here in the area of the Spree and Havel rivers. Many visitors are enthusiastic about a city trip to Berlin every year.
Berlin is a city that offers something for everyone. Whether you want to visit the city for a weekend of sightseeing, experience the vibrant club scene or simply stroll through the various neighborhoods – Berlin has something for everyone. The variety of sights and activities is so great that even a week is not enough to discover everything.
The city is a center of German and European history and offers numerous historical sights such as the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, the Berlin Wall and Checkpoint Charlie. Particularly impressive is the Museum Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is home to five world-famous museums, including the Pergamon Museum and the Altes Museum. This cultural diversity makes the city a paradise for history and art lovers.

The city’s creative and alternative scene is known far beyond Germany. From world-famous theaters such as the Berlin Philharmonie to small off-stages and galleries – you can find a wide range of cultural experiences here.
The culinary scene in the German capital is as diverse as the city itself. From traditional German dishes such as currywurst and kebab to international cuisine from all over the world – there is something to suit every taste. The food markets in particular, such as the “Markthalle Neun” in Kreuzberg, are a must for gourmets.
We are lucky to live in Berlin. Our view of the city is therefore very different from that of visitors. Of course, we also visit the city’s hotspots, but we also look off the beaten track for places that might otherwise be overlooked.
