One of the most interesting hotel facilities I’ve had the pleasure of staying in recently is the Hotel-Restaurant-Café Haffhus near Ueckermünde. I’m not referring to the visual appearance of the entire facility, but primarily to the concept of energy supply for the Hotel Haffhus.

In Western Pomerania is the port city of Ueckermünde, which I visited one afternoon. I was very surprised, because here there is not only a residential castle and the city harbor, here you can also discover a reconstructed Pomeranian cog and have a wonderful meal.

The municipality of Ramin is located in the very south-east of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. At the Ramin Manor House you can go on a voyage of discovery into the world of wild herbs.
Zinzow is a district of Boldekow in Western Pomerania. Zinzow Castle is located here, which I visited during the Midsummer Remise.

In Western Pomerania in the municipality of Groß Polzin lies one of the few preserved Renaissance buildings in the region, the Quilow moated castle. Shortly after the opening of the ground floor, we were allowed to take a look inside.
The village of Damerow is located very close to the Brandenburg state border in the municipality of Rollwitz. In the slightly hilly and predominantly agricultural region, the Damerow manor lies between the Pasewalk church forest and the high plateau of the Uckermark.
