Como is a city on the bank of Lake Como. It is one of the biggest cities around Lake Como. Its proximity to Milan makes it the ideal local recreation area for Milanese people. Many tourists take the train from Milan to Como, too.
Following the tourists through the small city is not going to reveal much more than a lovely pedestrian area and the lakeside promenade. There aren’t that many tourist attractions in Como; a day trip is enough time to explore them all.
We didn’t pick Como as a destination based on its tourist attractions. Our stay in Como was a breather between our stays in Verona and Milan. For this, Como is ideal! Leisurely walks, sitting by the lake and peaceful boat trips … very relaxing for us!
But of course, we also explored some scenic places. We would like to share some of our impressions.
A wonderful area of Italy that we will certainly not have visited for the last time.
