The city of Budapest is split in two by the river Danube. Before both parts of the city merged, two separate cities developed on either side of the river, Buda on one side, Pest on the other.

La Seu – the Cathedral of Palma
Our cruise with the AIDAperla began and ended at the port of Palma on Majorca. We took the time on our departure day to get the shuttle into the city to visit the Cathedral of Palma.
Dresden Frauenkirche
Dresden is home to the Frauenkirche (Chruch of Our Lady). The original name “Unserer Lieben Frauen“ (Our beloved ladies) got shortened over the years to become the term that is used today: Frauenkirche. It is one of the most visited sights in Dresden.
Old town Leipzig – a little stroll
A stroll through the old town is a mandatory part of a weekend trip to Leipzig. We started without any plans and just had a look at interesting things on the way. And there is a lot to see in this small but pretty old town. I summarized my impressions of the spots that we enjoyed the most.
Lutherstadt Wittenberg
We have been passing the station Lutherstadt Wittenberg on our commute for ages. So one day, we just got off there. And that was a good idea!
A walk through London
Here we go, on our last day in the city, we took another lovely walk to the famous landmarks. We started in light rain but the sun came out later.
