JUFA Hotel Vienna

We spent the night in Simmering during our visit to Vienna. The JUFA Hotel Vienna was the venue for a conference for Patrick on our first 3 days in the city, so we took a room there as well.

From metro station Enkplatz (line U3), it is only a few meters walk to the hotel. To Stephansplatz the train takes less than 15 minutes, so ideal for sightseeing.

Entering the hotel, you stand in a spacious covered atrium. Here is the reception, the entrance to the restaurant, the Café Wien and a spacious lounge area. From here you can reach the conference rooms, the common rooms for children/youth and the rooms, which are distributed on the floors 1-5.

JUFA Hotel Wien - Eingang

During the week many groups stay in the hotel, on the weekend we met many families. But don’t worry, we as single travelers didn’t have to eat breakfast between the school classes during the week. For us, there was a really excellent breakfast in Café Wien while the groups sat in the restaurant. Then on the weekend, all hotel guests had breakfast in the restaurant.

We also ate one evening at the hotel. The group of Kongess participants had previously chosen their meal from the current menu of the day and it was served to us at Café Wien. The portions were sufficient in terms of quantity and it also tasted good. But I didn’t find the selection (you could check the current menu in the elevator every day) so appealing that we ate another evening at the hotel. What we did use regularly, however, was the good coffee offer of the house. Café Wien is a good place to sit, drink coffee and eat cake – and we were able to use the power and wifi to work.

JUFA Hotel Vienna – Rooms

The 3-star JUFA Hotel Vienna has 157 rooms – from single, double, triple and quadruple rooms to suites, there is a room type here for every requirement.

Our room was on the 5th floor of the hotel, at the very end of the hallway. So we had only one direct room neighbor and have honestly not even noticed if someone lived in the room next door. We also didn’t notice the many youth groups, they lived on other floors and in another section of the 5th floor during our time in the hotel.

The room is simply and functionally furnished. Two single beds with a good mattress awaited us. If necessary, 4 people can stay in this room – there was another single bed that was usable as a sofa for us and a loft bed could have been folded out if necessary. Refrigerator, air conditioning, safe, free wifi, enough sockets and a TV completed the room facilities.
The bathroom is equipped with a shower, there was an extra room for the toilet.

We felt comfortable and also slept well.
