Vacations at the Müritz that means for us rest, relaxation, wonderful excursions and quality time. We were guests at Ferienpark Müritz for a few days and enjoyed the autumn in the Mecklenburg Lake District.
From Berlin we took the highway in the direction of Müritz and in less than 2 hours the vacation could begin.
Ferienpark Müritz
The Ferienpark Müritz is located in Rechlin, directly at the Müritz. It offers the vacationer very different vacation apartments and houses. The vacation homes are of different sizes, all have a small garden and the parking lot directly in front of the door. They correspond in comfort and equipment to the vacation homes in the “Schwesternpark” Mirow, which we got to know during a summer stay.
The vacation apartments are located in the captain’s houses directly on the water and in the Müritz tower. Also in the area of the vacation apartments different sizes and equipment categories are offered.
Ferienpark Müritz is smaller and more manageable than the park in Mirow. But here, too, you will find a mini-market in the reception building for everyday goods, playgrounds, a bicycle rental and the boat rental in the marina. Especially nice, I think, is the close proximity to the lake and the small beach, which invites you to swim. There is also the possibility with the White Fleet directly from the park to take a boat trip across the Müritz. The pier is located at the entrance to the marina.
The resort is located directly on a nature reserve. Unfortunately, direct access to the area is not possible here, you have to go to one of the official park entrances. But since the Müritz National Park bus stops directly in the park, this is no problem, it takes you to the national park center. With the guest pass “Müritz-Plus” you can use the bus for free.
Vacation apartment Mitteldeck
Our apartment was located in one of the apartment houses Kapitänshaus and was assigned to the category Mitteldeck.
The house where the apartment is located is directly on the shore of the Müritz. We could park the car in the parking lot belonging to the apartment directly in front of the door. Then it went up a rather steep staircase to the second floor.
I must admit, I was thrilled with the apartment. Bright rooms and friendly furnishings, I felt right at home in the 63 m³. The apartment is designed for 2 people. There is a bedroom, a bathroom with shower and bubble bath and a large combined living and kitchen area. There was a fireplace in the living room, there was a TV and the wifi works well.
I was especially thrilled by the two balconies. From one balcony you had a fantastic view over the Müritz. Here in the summer morning breakfast must be dreamlike, in the fall wrapped in a blanket with a mulled wine in hand, but it was also not bad.
We have used the kitchen only a little. There are many good restaurants in the region that we have tried.
