Prag: Dorint Hotel Don Giovanni

A conference for programmers led us to Prague. We stayed in the Dorint Hotel Don Giovanni. The majority of the participants was accommodated in this hotel, and the available conference rooms were used for the event.

Don Giovanni in Prague is a 4-star hotel. It is not located in the centre of the city but has easy access to the train station and public transport. It is just 1.5 km away from the Parukářka Park and 5 km away from the Old Town Square and the Prague TV Tower.

The Dorint Hotel Don Giovanni has 397 rooms in different styles and with different facilities. For the time of the conference, we were booked into a Superior Double Room. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a bathtub and was also very clean. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.

Breakfast can also be booked in the hotel. The breakfast was good and sufficiently varied. If you are hungry in the evening, the two hotel restaurants and the bar could be a solution.

Our lunches and dinners had already been booked for us for the event. The quality of the food was good, but unfortunately, the amount of people queuing for their food at the buffet caused little traffic jams. Topping up of the food at the buffet was not fast.

For conferences and conventions, about 20 differently sized meeting rooms are available. These are well equipped and some of the equipment is provided free of charge (podium, WiFi, internet access, facilitation materials, stands, flipchart). Other materials can be booked at the hotel. The fitness room and the spa area of the hotel are modern and well equipped.

A Finnish sauna, a steam bath and a Jacuzzi are available. In addition, there is the possibility to enjoy a relaxing massage.
