Prag: MOODs boutique hotel

Prague offers a variety of accommodation possibilities. We have spent a long time thinking about where to stay and decided to stay in a quiet but central location in the MOODs boutique hotel.

The hotel is just an 11-minute walk from the Charles Bridge and Wenceslas Square. The metro station and the nearest tram stop are about 300 meters from the hotel.

We have stayed in a superior double room on the third floor of the hotel. The room was very quiet, clean and the bed was simply heavenly. We can only recommend the King-size beds made by Hästens.

All rooms have air conditioning, mini bar and (always very high up on our personal priority list when travelling) a large safe for our laptop. Another important point which we always try to consider when deciding where to stay is free Wi-Fi access. We had excellent reception in our room, in the bar and breakfast room. I especially liked the lighting concept in the room. Depending on the mood you can choose different colour variations.

The hotel advertises its “love” for Apple on their website. In the rooms, this is reflected by the iPod and iPhone plugs. In addition, Apple TV can be watched on request.

The bathroom in our room was modern and very clean. The bathtub made for a very relaxing evening after the great sightseeing tour. A selection of ecological care products was available in the bathroom.

For those who are looking for more relaxation, the hotel offers a variety of different massages. Unfortunately, we had no opportunity to try this service.

Breakfast was served from 6.30am to 10.30am. In addition to juices, coffee and tea, a selection of bread, rolls, sausage, cheese and sweet spreads were available on a buffet. Some fruit, muesli and yoghurt rounded the offer. The staff throughout the hotel was very young and very friendly. At the check-in, we were handed a map of the surrounding area and the main attractions. A lovely and attentive young woman brought us to our room and explained all the “little things” like the safe and the mini bar. At breakfast the staff took very good care of everything and the buffet was always well filled.

Conclusion: We liked the hotel and we would happily recommend it.
